Dozierende aus vier Ländern zu Gast an der Fakultät Informatik und Mathematik--- ENGLISH VERSION BELOW ---Internationalisierung und Digitalisierung gehen beim Gastdozierendenprogramm der
Fakultät Informatik und Mathematik Hand in Hand: Die englischsprachigen Kurse werden entweder vollständig virtuell oder im Rahmen von Blended Learning angeboten. Teilweise sind sie auch für Studierende ausgewählter ausländischer Partner der Ostbayerischen Technischen Hochschule Regensburg (OTH Regensburg) im Rahmen des virtuellen Studierendenaustauschs geöffnet.
Istvan Lengyel (Eastern Institute of Technology, Neuseeland) lehrt einen Kurs "Applied Data Science with Python", der von den Studierenden stark nachgefragt wurde und deshalb dieses Semester erneut angeboten wurde. David Drohan (Waterford Institute of Technology) führt die Studierenden in Grundlagen der App-Programmierung mit Kotlin ein. Petteri Kaskenpalo bietet einen Kurs zu "Human-Computer-Interaction" an während Prof. Paolo Ceravolo (Uni Mailand) das Trendthema "Process Mining" beleuchtet. Amit Sarkar bietet im Rahmen der
Regensburg School of Digital Sciences (RSDS) einen Kurs zu "E-Government und Smart Cities" an. Andreas Drechsler (Victoria University of Wellington) wiederum lehrt "IT-Controlling" im Master Informatik und Master Logistik.

„Wir sind sehr froh, unseren Studierenden ein so breites Spektrum an inhaltlich spannenden Vorlesungen auf Englisch bieten zu können. Gerade Themen wie Process Mining oder Datenanalyse mit Python sind im Kontext von KI, Industrie 4.0 und Internet-of-Things (IoT) hochaktuell. Darüber hinaus können wir damit unser englischsprachiges Kursangebot ausbauen und ein großes Vorlesungsportfolio auf Englisch anbieten“, sagt Prof. Dr. Christoph Skornia, Dekan der Fakultät Informatik und Mathematik.
„Durch das Gastdozierendenprogramm intensivieren wir die kollegialen Beziehungen zu den Gästen und ihren Heimathochschulen. Aus den Besuchen in den letzten Semestern, haben sich zahlreiche Austauschmöglichkeiten ergeben. Das Gastdozierendenprogramm wird von unseren Studierenden gut angenommen und geschätzt, was sich auch regelmäßig in Studierendenumfragen zeigt, in denen der Ausbau des englischsprachigen Kursangebots gewünscht wird. Darüber hinaus haben wir zahlreiche virtuelle Gasthörer aus aller Welt, die an diesen Vorlesungen teilnehmen“, ergänzt Prof. Dr. Markus Westner, Auslandsbeauftragter und Studiendekan der Fakultät, der das Programm initiiert hat.
--- ENGLISH VERSION ---Lecturers from four countries visiting the Faculty of Computer Science and MathematicsThe international guest lecturer program at the Faculty of Computer Science and Mathematics will continue in the winter semester 2021/2021. Lecturers from Ireland, Italy, New Zealand and Singapore will offer lectures in the Faculty's Master's and Bachelor's programs.Internationalization and digitization go hand in hand: the English-language courses are offered either completely virtually or as part of blended learning. Some of them are also open to students of selected foreign partners of OTH Regensburg through virtual student exchange.

From the visits in the last semesters, numerous exchange opportunities have arisen. The guest lecturer program is well received and appreciated by our students, which is also regularly reflected in student surveys in which the expansion of the English-language course offerings is desired. In addition, we have numerous virtual guest lecturers from all over the world who take part in these lectures“, adds Prof. Dr. Markus Westner, International Relations Officer and Dean of Studies at the Faculty, who initiated the program.
